Epichlorohydrin rubber is a special synthetic rubber manufactured by OSAKA SODA who has the largest market share in the world, independently developed own process which features a superior balance between durability, oil resistance and low temperature performance. This highly functional material meets the high performance requirements of the automotive industry as well as tough environmental standards.
In addition, it has recently become possible to precisely control its semiconductive properties, enabling use in the electrostatic, image transfer and developer rolls of digital color multifunction copiers, for which the demands are expanding.

From epichlorohydrin monomer to polymer rubber, Epichlomer™ is manufactured in a fully integrated system using OSAKA SODA's proprietary processes.
Epichlomer™ is excellent for roll milling, extrusion and calendering, heat rollers, Banbury mixers and kneaders are used for mixing and compounding.
Main chain of Epichlomer™ has ether linkage without double bond, the property is low temperature flexibility, heat resistance, ozone resistance, and ion conductivity.
And also because of its polar group (chlorine group), Epichlomer™ is resistant to fuel oil and gas permeation resistance.
