Diallyl Phthalate Resin

Diallyl Phthalate(DAP) resin is a thermosetting resin with a lot of excellent physical properties such as electrical insulation properties, heat resistance, water resistance, chemical resistance, and molding. In addition to being used in inks and construction materials, this material addresses a wide range of needs in different industries such as electronic and electrical components which require high quality level.
Because of quick-drying, DAP is used in organic solvent free UV printing inks. It is also adopted electric and electronic parts for high durability in tough high temperature and high voltage environments.
DAP is also used in environmentally friendly decorative laminate construction material which does not contain volatile organic compounds (VOC).

Insulators for motor coils and transformer motors, headlight lamp reflectors, bathtubs, sinks, and performance improving agents for unsaturated polyester and vinyl resins.

DAISO DAP™ is a heat resistance resin that has a heat distortion temperature of 160℃. DAISO ISO DAP™ improves heat resistance and has a heat distortion temperature of 290℃. In addition, the tracking resistance is over 600V, which is excellent in terms of electrical characteristics. DAISO DAP™ and DAISO ISO DAP™ are excellent for compression molding, transfer molding, and injection molding, are used for molding compounds and coil bobbin such as electrical parts.

DAISO DAP, DAISO ISO DAP and RADPAR are soluble in the many kinds of acrylate monomers, and their varnishes indicate excellent stability.
The UV curable varnish with DAISO DAP, DAISO ISO DAP and RADPAR has good curing property compared with varnishes with other resin or oligomer.

※Higher tack free conveyer speed indicates better quick drying.

When DAISO DAP™ and DAISO ISO DAP™ are used to color hot stamping foil, it is possible to manufacture foils with finer and sharper cutting characteristics. Moreover, the printed surface of hot stamping foil has good chemical resistance.
This hot stamping foil is applied to various kinds of field, e.g. package of cosmetics, detergent, alcohol drink etc.

DAISO DAP™ Monomer has the following features because it is easily reacted by heat and catalysts.

DAISO DAP™ Monomer is used as a raw material for BMC used in automotive lamp reflectors and SMC used in bathtub.
The high refractive index of DAISO DAP™100 Monomer is 1.52, allowing it to be applied to plastic lenses.
